High Plains Porter

UC Davis sponsors a staff beer making contest and a few friends of mine decided to give it a shot. In our first meeting we chose to name our team the “Clint Yeastwoods,” and name the beer itself after my favorite Clint Eastwood movie of all time High Plains Drifter. If you have seen the movie, you know there was only one color this label could be. I went with a minimalist 60’s movie poster style and added a phrase from the film. The labels were a hit at the competition, but unfortunately our porter…well as one of the judges put it “No…just NO!”
