Sunny branding for a mountain school
The elementary school my children attend recently decided it was time for a brand refresh. When they reached out to the school community for help, I thought it would a great chance to give back to the school and sharpen my branding skills.
The design problem was relatively simple, the school’s grounds had historically been home to a large sunflower patch so as their de facto mascot, that would be the basis of the design. There was concern from the school that that would alienate the male students, to mitigate those concerns I used a more masculine palette and created a logo variation that eliminated the flower entirely and instead focused on the mountain icon.
