That majestic cloud

This painting was inspired by a potato-quality photo taken on a very old phone just outside of Dixon, California in the predawn hours. The way the light and color of the coming sunrise illuminated this lone cloud seemed almost magical. I decided to paint the scene on a large canvas to give that cloud as much real estate as I felt it deserved.
